A Message from the Directors

Welcome to the Uganda Behavioral Health Alliance Website.

Welcome to the UBHA website, where you can explore and learn more about the Uganda Behavioral Health Alliance and our partners.

Since its establishment in 2009, UBHA has continuously grown and achieved its mission and objectives at various levels of planning and execution. We invite you to navigate through the pages ahead to discover more about our organization, our accomplishments thus far, and our aspirations for future growth and collaboration, both locally and globally.

UBHA takes great pride in being an alliance that represents the collective strength and impact we have cultivated over the past decade. Our board has evolved and extended its reach, making a difference both locally in our founding city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, and on a global scale. The interagency and interdisciplinary collaborations we have fostered are the direct result of focused energy we have dedicated to realizing our mission and objectives.

In 2022, we celebrated a significant milestone as UBHA marked 10 years since hosting the inaugural international conference in 2012. We commemorated a decade of leadership in creating, coordinating, and delivering consistent and diverse activities. As we look ahead to 2023, we eagerly anticipate collaborating with the University of Kisubi in Uganda to the host the 9th International UBHA conference.

This year, we also extend a warm welcome to our new board members: Dr. Timothy Ehlinger, Mrs. Robin Rathsack, Mr. Mark J. Cameron, and Ms. Liliane McFarlane.

Please take the time to learn about UBHA. We hope that your interest will inspire you and your colleagues to join us in expanding our community of dedicated professionals working towards a powerful collective outcome. Our goal is to enhance psychological health and well-being, empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives within their families, supported by their communities, and in the context of their nation. We are grateful for the interconnectedness of our global village.

Respectfully,

The UBHA Board
